Hello all. It's time to pick the best entries from the Freddie Ljungberg Edition of You Write the Caption. With the MLS Expansion Draft having brought the 2009 Sounders closer into focus, what better time to poke fun at the new franchise's star player than now?

Just when you thought I forgot about the John Wolyniec edition of You Write the Caption, here it is.

With Wolyniec and the Red Bulls preparing to play in MLS Cup this weekend, what better time than to take a look at the very best caption submissions for the above photo, which caught Wolyniec celebrating his goal in the Red Bulls 3-0 playoff win against Houston.

There were a bunch of hilarious captions, but I have narrowed the field down to the following 10 captions. Check them out and give us your vote on which you think is the best:

Good afternoon all. It is time for a special MLS playoff edition of You Write the Caption. I know I haven't gotten around to picking the Top 10 captions from the Freddie Ljungberg edition of YWTC but I promise to have that up this week.

The new You Write the Caption comes courtesy of Red Bulls striker John Wolyniec, who scored his first goal of 2008 in dramatic fashion, to help seal his team's 3-0 upset win against Houston. After waiting all year to score a goal, Wolyniec pulled out the Thriller Dance as his goal celebration. The dance selection was surprising, but the terrible form in executing the dance made the moment a classic.

Wolyniec laughed when asked about the dance and admit

"I wouldn’t say I’ve been practicing," Wolyniec admitted. "If you watch the tape you probably notice I haven’t been practicing, but it was a good feeling.

"It always seems like teams that make runs in playoffs always have a little gimmick inside the locker room. Maybe that’s ours and I just hope it’s something we can piggyback off of and use going forward."

Welcome to the latest installment of You Write the Captions. This week's contest features a photo of Major League Soccer's newest millionaire, Seattle Sounders FC signing Freddie Ljungberg, who already has fans in Seattle buzzing about the impact he could make on and off the field.

The photo in question isn't necessarily a funny one, but it does leave plenty of room for creativity on the caption front. It's up to you to deliver the humor.

Before we get to the photo, congratulations are in order to Dave (whichever Dave he may be) for the winning entry in the Ronaldo Rehab edition of YWTC. His submission was voted the top choice, edging out my favorite, from Pablo Chicago, 33 percent to 25 percent.

It is that time again people, time to enjoy the funniest caption entries for the most recent You Write the Caption Contest. The latest photo to be chosen for captioning was of Brazilian striker Ronaldo as he took a break from him intensive rehabilitation from knee surgery.

Good afternoon folks. It is time for the latest installment of You Write the Caption.

Before we get to the new photo, I want to congratulate Darwin for winning the previous YWTC: The Josh Wicks edition.

Now, onto this week's edition. The subject is none other than Brazilian legend Ronaldo, who is in Brazil rehabilitating from his most recent knee surgery. Here is a picture of him resting between workouts:

Wouldn't you know it. After three months off, You Write the Caption has made a strong comeback, with this week's entry drawing a new record for submissions entered.

Let's face it, the above photo of Josh Wicks can't help but inspire the comedy writer in all of us. I must admit to feeling a bit bad about the timing since Wicks isn't exactly coming off a stellar performance last night (See Morning Ticker). Ah well, that's life in the pros.

Well, it wasn't easy picking from the more than 170 entries, but here are the ten entries I thought were the best of the bunch. I will let you, the SBI readers, pick the best caption from five finalists I select.

The Return of You Write the Caption

Well folks. You knew it was just a matter of time.

It has been a few months since that old SBI staple, You Write the Caption, has graced us but it is now time to get it back into the rotation. Many of you have been asking for it to come back and I will now look to make it a weekly installment.

I am working on securing a sponsor for YWTC so that contest winners actually win a prize like they used to. I will keep everyone posted on that in the coming days.

You Write the Caption: The Osorio Edition

It has been a good while since the last installment of You Write the Caption but I can tell you that this week SBI will have at least two contests.

Today's photo, courtesy of ISIphotos.com, is of New York Red Bulls head coach Juan Carlos Osorio, who has done an admirable job leading his new club to a 5-4-4 mark despite a myriad of injuries and the transfer of Jozy Altidore.

As you know, Osorio likes to take notes during matches and the practice has garnered snide remarks from plenty of opposing fans. With this in mind, here is your chance to figure out what he's thinking and what he's writing in that notepad of his.

Good afternoon folks. Today is the big day. USA vs. Spain. In honor of the big friendly I decided to do a matchday you write the caption.

Good afternoon folks. The results of the most recent You Write the Caption are finally here.

In case you missed it, I posted two photos in the last YWTC, one of Nery Castillo and Sven Goran Erikkson sharing a moment, and another photo of David Beckham and teammates staring high into the air. They weren't the two funniest photos ever, but I wanted to see if you all could spin some magic.

The results are in and it is clear that the Galaxy photo was the better one to work with. I was only able to come up with five very good captions for the Sven-Nery photo, while I completed a full Top 10 of captions for the Galaxy photo.

Admit it, when you first heard Alexi Lalas use the term Sexy Football to describe what the Los Angeles Galaxy would play like, you laughed out loud. After all, there's positively nothing sexy about watching Alan Gordon try to control a soccer ball.

What we probably didn't consider about the statement was that Lalas may have been referring to his internationally recognized defender Abel Xavier. He of the flashy clothes and outrageous hairstyles. It is tough to argue that Xavier just might be the sexiest traffic cone in the history of soccer.

If it seems like the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament was a long time ago, it might be because you can't remember many of the results of the games. Your mind was too busy memorizing the images of soccer streaker Tiffany May as she frolicked around Raymond James Stadium rather than the actual matches.

Good afternoon folks. With the MLS season fast approaching, and the You Write the Caption Queue now filled with three contests that need to be judged, SBI will be looking to power through them today.

The first of the YWTC contests is the one involving this beautiful picture of David Beckham and Abel Xavier at a press conference. Xavier's hairstyle makes any picture humorous, but throw in Beckham and you have a masterpiece.

Admit it, you saw the female streaker who ran around Raymond James Stadium and brought excitement to an otherwise boring match. You must have seen the repeated replays as Christian Miles nearly had to excuse himself from the FSC broadcast booth.

No, I won't be showing you a YouTube clip (let's face it, you have already watched it a few dozen times). I'll be bringing you a special edition of You Write the Caption (and no, I haven't forgotten the Beckham/Xavier or Taylor Twellman installments. They're coming). It is that time again. I wasn't planning on doing another You Write the Caption contest just yet, but that was before my boy SF at The Offside Rules uncovered an absolute gem of a photo.

The picture comes from the Boston Globe, which is chronicled the New England Revolution's pre-season trip to Cancun, Mexico.
