Robbie Keane has picked up an injury that force him to miss one of the most important games in the Los Angeles Galaxy's season.
Ireland head coach Giovanni Trapattoni ruled Keane out for Ireland's vital EURO 2012 Qualifer against Armenia on Tuesday due to a adductor muscle injury that the forward picked up in a 2-0 victory over Andorra. In a press conference on Monday, Trappattoni said that Keane's injury could rule the forward out for "three to four weeks. "
Keane's injury could be huge for the Galaxy, who play one of their biggest matches of the season next week. Los Angeles face a must win match in the CONCACAF Champions League against Club Motagua on October 20th in Honduras. If Keane is indeed out for four weeks, the Irishman would not be able to suit up for the Galaxy until the second leg of the Western Conference semi-finals.
Keane has already made an immediate impact since moving to the Galaxy in mid-August scoring three goals in MLS play and one in Champions League action.
