There is just one match remaining in the 2011 MLS regular season, but that one match will have implications for a plethora of teams.
The Houston Dynamo play host to the LA Galaxy tonight (7pm, Galavision/Direct Kick) in their final match at Robertson Stadium before moving into their new stadium in 2012, a match that will set the final playoff match-ups for the entire league.
If Houston wins, the Dynamo will grab the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and will face Philadelphia (which will mean Columbus winds up a wild card team playing at Colorado). A Dynamo loss means Houston will fall down to the final wild card place and will meet FC Dallas. A Houston tie would pit the Dynamo in a wild card match at Colorado.
Houston wouldn't normally be favored against the first-place Galaxy, but with Los Angeles resting several starters for the match, the Dynamo will have no excuse for not closing out the regular season with a victory.
