A couple of ACC matchups highlight this weekend in college soccer as teams jockey for position in the country’s most competitive conference.
No. 2 Maryland looks to continue their unbeaten start to the season with a trip to a Virginia side desperate to become players in the regular-season title chase. No. 3 North Carolina will try to keep pace with a home date with a mediocre Clemson side while Wake Forest travels north to No. 16 Boston College.
The Big East features a loaded schedule of top match-upt this weekend, featuring two headlining tilts. The top-ranked UConn Huskies put their perfect start on the line with a difficult journey to South Bend to take on Notre Dame. The Huskies are a surprising 11-0-0 while the Irish are unbeaten at home. No. 6 St. John’s takes on No. 9 South Florida in the only matchup of Top 10 teams this weekend.
On Sunday, No. 15 Indiana takes on No. 4 Creighton as the Hoosiers try to get back on track after dropping nine places in the Fox Soccer Top 25. Head coach Elmar Bolowich is 9-1 in his first season at the helm and the Blue Jays are beginning to look like legitimate title contenders.
