The New England Revolution have taken a step in the right direction to shred the "cheap" label that has accompanied the team for years.
The Revs signed Argentine striker Milton Caraglio as the team's first-ever Designated Player on Tuesday, and he's expected to join the club as soon as Thursday.
Caraglio, 22, has played for Rosario Central in Argentina's top flight since 2007. The club was relegated for the 2010-2011 season, and he suffered a major knee injury the season before. He was on trial with West Ham in the summer of 2010 but ultimately didn't get signed because of his medical history. On the field, he produced 11 goals in 49 top-flight appearances with Rosario Central.
