An unknown number of people have been trapped as a result of part of FC Twente's Grolsch Veste Stadium collapsing on them on Thursday.
The stadium was undergoing renovation on Thursday morning when the roof of a stand caved in, trapping people under the rubble. A large number of police, fire services and ambulances arrived to help out, but initial reports suggest there may be casualties.
A spokesman for the Dutch club said that not many details were available at the moment, though he did think it was likely that the cause of the collapse was related to the construction work at the stadium. Twente was expanding Grolsch Veste to a 32,000-seat stadium.

NAPOLI JOIN RACE FOR SANCHEZ
Napoli has apparently joined the race for in-demand Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez. According to Udinese owner, Giampaolo Pozzo, Napoli has made an 'imporant offer' for the Chile international, but he said that the two clubs and player must all agree to any potential move. Napoli, which will play in the Champions League this season, joins Manchester United, Manchester City, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea as clubs looking to sign Sanchez.
