Here are a couple of other results from the MLS Reserve League:
MYERS' BRACE LIFTS SKC OVER RSL
Chance Myers netted a first-half brace to help lift Sporting Kansas City to a 2-0 victory over Real Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Myers, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, got on the end of a Milos Stojcev free kick and volleyed a shot into the back of the net at the half-hour mark. Myers netted again just before halftime with a left-footed finish after rookie C.J. Sapong hit him with a pass at the top of the penalty area. Myers came close to a hat-trick in the second half, but he had a shot go just wide of the far post.
Real Salt Lake (1-2-0) had five academy players play in the loss, including Maikon Orellana. Sporting Kansas City (1-1-0) had trialist Seth Sinovic start and go the distance.
NYARKO-BAROUCH COMBINATION TOPS RAPIDS
The Chicago Fire remained undefeated as it scored two second-half goals to defeat the Colorado Rapids, 2-1, on Sunday.
Chicago's reserves improved to 2-0-0, as Patrick Nyarko and Orr Barouch each scored and assisted on goals. Nyarko netted the equalizer off a feed from Barouch in the 66th minute, and then returned the favor by assisting on Barouch's game-winner two minutes later.
Colorado, which is now 0-3-0 in the reserve league, opened the scoring through a 51st-minute goal from Steven Emory. The goal was the first for both Emory and Colorado in Reserve League play.
