Real Salt Lake will look to make history night by defeating Deportivo Saprissa in their CONCACAF Champions League semifinal series. After winning the first leg, 2-0, RSL heads into Estadio Saprissa with a two goal lead and a chance to make its mark in MLS lore.
A hostile and capacity crowd is expected at Estadio Saprissa tonight, with cool breezes replacing rain drops for now. Saprissa will be looking to erase the two-goal deficit while RSL looks poised to grab a crucial road goal to put the series out of reach.
In case you missed it, here's my Fox Soccer preview of tonight's match, with the tone from RSL being that the 2009 MLS Cup champions did not come to Costa Rica to bunker down and defend for 90 minutes.
I will be providing live commentary from Estadio Saprissa. Join the SBI team and feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
