Jonathan Bornstein may be coming off an injury with a team and setting that he's fairly unfamiliar with, but that didn't stop him from making his Tigres UANL (and Americans Abroad) debut this weekend.
Having missed the season opener due to a thigh strain, Bornstein made his first start for Tigres on Saturday as the club defeated Necaxa 1-0. Bornstein was removed at halftime in the game that saw Tigres move into first place of Group 1.
Ricardo Clark made just his second Bundesliga start for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, deployed as a center back in the club's 3-0 defeat to Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96. Clark started and played 90 minutes.
Maurice Edu didn't start for Rangers, but he did come off the bench to score a neat goal against Hamilton Academical. Edu capped the scoring in Rangers' 4-0 triumph against Hamilton Academical when he received a throw-in and then beat a defender before finishing with a low shot to the near post. The goal was Edu's second this season.
