The U-20 World Cup in Egypt officially kicked off on Thursday with the hosts convincingly defeating Trinidad and Tobago.
A first half 1-1 draw turned into a route as Egypt midfielder Hassan Hussam Arafat Abdalla's brace led the way to a 4-1 victory over the Soca Warriors in front of the 80,000-plus in attendance.
Italy and Paraguay played to a scoreless draw earlier today, but there a couple of more games on tap. Group B gets underway today with Nigeria-Venezuela (12:45pm, ESPN360) and Spain-Tahiti (3:30pm, ESPN360)
The United States opens up their U-20 World Cup playing Germany on Saturday (10am, ESPN360 and Galavision), while Cameroon takes on Korea in the other Group C match.
