Red Bulls defender Carlos Johnson is set to miss a considerable amount of time after being diagnosed with a broken left foot on Saturday night. The club revealed the injury after the Red Bulls 1-1 tie vs. Houston.
Johnson suffered the injury after being tackled by Houston midfielder Stuart Holden in the first half. Holden was called for a foul, but did not receive a card. Johnson was taken to a local hospital for x-rays, which revealed the break. Details of the injury were not yet available.
Johnson's injury means the Red Bulls will turn to rookie Jeremy Hall, who was impressive at right back earlier in the season.
What do you think of Johnson's injury? Think Holden should have been issued a yellow card, or a red, for the foul that broke Johnson's foot? Do you see Hall stepping up and making the right back spot his own?
