It was only a friendly, but Wednesday's AC Milan-Glasgow Rangers exhibition saw several storylines collide as David Beckham played and DaMarcus Beasley scored off a Maurice Edu pass in a 2-2 draw at Ibrox in Glasgow.
More than 45,000 turned up to watch Beckham and current club AC Milan. After a soreless first half, Beasley opened the scoring in the second by running onto an Edu pass and scoring in the 65th minute. Kaka and Alexandre Pato scored for Milan before Sasa Papac provided the late equalizer for Rangers.
Although they didn't play on the field at the same time, it was interesting to have Beasley and Beckham in the same game when they could soon be LA Galaxy teammates (or Beasley could be trying to help LA make up for the loss of Beckham if he stays with Milan).
What do you think of this match? Do you see Beasley sticking it out in Scotland or is a return to MLS inevitable? Happy to see Maurice Edu get a start, even if it was just a friendly? Wondering what Milan's next bid for Beckham will be worth?
