His latest display of amazing skill helped lead Barcelona to another romp, this time a 4-1 drubbing of Numancia on Saturday in a match that went into halftime scoreless. Messi scored two, assisted on a third and hit the crossbar for what could have been a hat-trick. The victory helped keep Barcelona's lead atop La Liga at 12 points. Yes, that's right, 12 points.
