Looks like a good crowd...but who can tell with the yellow bleachers and blinding sun...

Looks like the Hoops are controlling things early.

Halftime and Hoops are in control. Great for Cunningham getting his 100th Goal where he started his MLS career.

How has Noonan played so far?
Posted by: Mike Fogg | August 16, 2008 at 08:46 PM
Noonan not playing well. Robbie Rogers subbed in for him in the 58th min.

MLSnet is reporting 17k+. It looked like a great crowd, but that seems a little bit inflated to me. I would have guessed around 15k. Either way, its good to see the Crew winning in front of a good crowd.

17k can be a bit sneaky in Crew Stadium b/c of the way the endzone seating works. You can fit almost 3k in the thin strip at the south end above the goal down there. Plus, you rarely see the seats on the bench side of the stadium (where the cameras/press box are located). Most of the season tickets are sold on that side, and it's pretty full in the middle 5 sections there both upper and lower.
