Live from MLS All-Star Game Practice
Hello all. I'm coming to you from the press box at BMO Field and I have to say it's a beautiful view of the city skyline from here. the MLS All-Stars, at least the ones who could make it, are here going through training and I have to say there are some weird sights to behold here.
For example:
Landon Donovan and Cuauhtemoc Blanco passing the ball to each other in drills.
Blanco and David Beckham working the middle of a game of keepaway.
Beckham and Juan Toja, two leaders of the MLS hairstyling world, standing side by side.
Beckham and Kenny Cooper reminiscing about their days as Manchester United teammates (okay, I'm kidding).
Steve Nicol and Cuauhtemoc Blanco having a conversation (can they possibly understand each other? I wish I could record that and put it on YouTube. It would put those Kyle and Javier clips from Real Salt Lake to shame.)
That's all for now. I'm heading down for some interviews and will check in before tonight's Toronto-Montreal match.

Anything regarding the Bruno Guarda "draft/lottery" that was supposed to be held today? No mention on MLSnet or here, but it made the paper down here in DFW.

I don't think that was fully a joke Topher. Blanco doesn't speak English. I guess one could say neither does Nicol. (okay THAT was a joke)

Ives,
How about checking out this report about the Galaxy and possibly signing Peruvian Solano:

or Dallas possibly picking up Ariel Ortega from River.

I saw "Ariel Graziani" for a few seconds. Holy flashback, Batman! Carry-on ...

Ives, it's posts like this that set you apart as a prominent voice for American soccer fans.

Wow! I remember one of the first Metrostars games I went to I heard Ariel Graziani's high pitched scream from my seats 20 yards away from the field (in row 10).

Looks like Toja's gone: http://www.los-toros.com/2008/07/22/gone-baby-gone/
The ASG will be his last hurrah. Steaua wants him for their tilt with Roma on the weekend.
Guess I'll have to post my Toja wig on Ebay.Ro...

Is TFC really this bad, or are they playing down to their competition? Both teams don't look very good.
