Angel traveling to Colorado

Juan_pablo_angel_ap

The New York Red Bulls look set to receive a big boost to their faltering offense. All-Star forward Juan Pablo Angel is traveling with the team to Colorado for tomorrow's game against the Colorado Rapids and is expected to play.

Angel has been sidelined for almost a month and hasn't played since scoring the game-winning goal for the Red Bulls against Chivas USA on June 5. He has been out with a lingering hamstring injury caused by a back condition. After training fully this week, Angel appears ready to return to action.

Nominated for an ESPY as MLS player of the year on Thursday, Angel has scored two goals in seven games this season. Last season, Angel scored 19 goals in 24 matches.

What about Reyna, has he travelled? He is also listed as doubtful.

Did NY go home after the CP game or did they have to go straight to Denver?

sweeeeet!!

"All-Star forward"???

Gotta work that in as often as possible I guess, since there's only a week until he'll no longer be one.

bwidell... WTF? Angel was #1 in this year's all-star voting last time I looked...
I am glad he is off to Colorado! Hope he scores!

Rumour has it that Adu is going to Monaco on loan. Their president has been quoted as saying. “We will take a top young American player,”
