Ralston puts NE up in the 12th minute!!

Twellman on the bench

How the hell can Sigi stand to wear a heavy coat and scarf when its 75 F in Columbus?

sigi's probably just trying to cover the big ol belly of his

I can't wait for Twellman to get back in for the Revs. Cristman is awful and shouldn't be starting for a team that is going to be competitive in the MLS. Once Twellman gets healthy and Gambia finally lets Mansally come back, Cristman should become an after thought for the Revs.

59th in Columbus, 1-zip home team

Moreno was taken down in the penalty area - so said the ref. Most people saw him trail his right foot across the leg of a defender and fall over. Either way, GBS knocks in the penalty to the left as the keeper stays in the middle, probably having seen his penalty vs LA last week (straight up the middle).

Columbus starting to get their attack going, and Rogers fans have a lot of raids up the left to watch.

61st - 1-1 now. Labrocca scores it, huge props and assist to Conner Casey, who took a long pass on the right, cut inside while holding off the defender, and hit a square ball for the shot.

Might be a stupid question because I don't follow the Crew that closely, but where's Eddie Gaven?

Final in Columbus, 2-1 Crew.

Ekpo scored the winner on a classic 'run down the middle and defenders trot along but no one ever tackles the guy with the ball' kinda goal.

Deserved win by Columbus, they were consistently creating dangerous attacks. If Rogers didn't have an off night as far as his finishing and decision making, they coulda had more. 2nd half was attractive soccer by both sides.

Ekpo's goal reminded me of the first Fifa games on the Nintendo where you could score every time by just running straight down the middle of the field...

Classic attendance figure posted by mlsnet on the Revs TFC match: 5,863

Yikes, pathetic showing in New England. Is there any chance Bob Kraft will splash out some money for that stadium in Somerville? Foxboro just isn't working!

i cant wait for RSL to get into their new stadium. I'm not a fan of the squad but it is always nice to see a new team get a SSS. Check out the latest pictures on the website...The Grass and Seats have been installed and it looks amazing!!

Tony Beltran you broke my heart.

Purty stadium

Eddie Gaven suffered an injury during the Open Cup match with Chicago if memory serves. It was said that he'd be out several weeks or longer.

Put a 1 in front of that attendance figure for Revs-TFC, and, since i was there, even that seems low. Great crowd, and quality play throughout. Toronto did well to hang in close even as the Revs were so close to running them off the field in the first half. On the other hand, but for a close offside call and some help from the post, it could easily have been 3 or 4 goals for the Revs. Great match.

Yeah, the attendance was actually 15863 in New England; MLSnet.com had a typo in the match report.

Whew... Just about 16000 is much better than what we thought!

Having said that, anyone heard anything lately about Somerville?

I'm not sure there is too much of a rush for the Revs to build a new stadium. Kraft built that one and he built it to work for soccer too. Its not good for the Revs, but since he owns it, they aren't paying massive stadium fees to play there.

Of course, a move to the Boston area would be terrific for the Revs, but I don't see it being all too likely.
