Soccer Sunday: Your Running Commentary

Good morning folks. Today offers a pretty mixed bag of soccer games on TV and while there are no true marquee match-ups, there are some intriguing encounters.

Here is today's schedule of games on TV:

  • 11am- FSC- Portsmouth at Manchester City
  • 11am- GolTV- Valladolid at Villarreal
  • Noon- Setanta USA- Bordeaux at Tolouse
  • 1pm- GolTV- Real Madrid at Racing de Santander
  • 2:30pm- FSC- Inter Milan at Torino
  • 3pm- Telefutura- Kansas City Wizards at Chicago Fire
  • 3pm- Setanta USA- Lille at Marseille
  • 5pm- Setanta USA- Sunderland at Newcastle
  • 5pm- FSC- River Plate at Rosario Central
  • 7pm- GolTV- La Equidad at Once Caldas

Today's best match may actually be the Chicago Fire-Kansas City Wizards tilt, which will help determine first place in the MLS Eastern Conference after four weeks.

If you will be following any of the above matches, or any other matches you have access to, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinion and play by play in the comments section below.

Enjoy the soccer.

Chicago v Kansas City is going to be a good game on and off the pitch. The weather is looking good (so far) and the tailgate will be kicking off in roughly 75 minutes. The soon to be Fire victory will also be cause for celebreation.

2-1

Heereveen win 5-0, but no strikes for Bradley. However, Veen' do qualify for the CL playoffs.

Good to hear YankatOxford. Too bad Bradley won't be around to enjoy those CL games. But he'll make out like a bandit with the $$$.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this Portsmouth - Manchester City match. Very exciting game.

anyone know where to find the chicago fire game online? apparently none of the bars around here get telefutura

No Marinelli for KC today, I think they'll struggle getting their full offensive arsenal on track.

Or not. Sweet long ball from Lopez to a streaking Jewsbury who makes a great touch and fires, 1-0 KC in the 4th

Oguchi Onyewu's Standard Liege just won the Jupiler League - meaning they qualify of the group stage of the Champions League. Wonder if the American will stay with the team now...
