Red Bulls to face FC Dallas without Angel
Red Bulls forward Juan Pablo Angel will miss the team's match against FC Dallas on Saturday with a hamstring strain that forced him to miss practice this week. He did not travel with the team to Texas.
Angel's absence likely means that Jozy Altidore and Oscar Echeverry will partner up top against FC Dallas, while John Wolyniec provides depth. It should be interesting to see how Altidore and Echeverry play together considering they didn't get a chance to play together much at all this pre-season.
I will get into more detail on the lineup I see the Red Bulls using and the rest of the preview of FC Dallas match tomorrow.
What lineup would you like to see Osorio use against FC Dallas? Share your thoughts below.

Should be interesting to see them and how well they work together.

Interesting. For the sake of the league I hope Angel is back as soon as possible. Great goalscorer.

As the SBI correspondent for FC Dallas, let me say...
Hooray!

I see the lineup for this game looking as follows:
Altidore Echevary
DVB Renya Ubi Sanasso
Goldie Stammer Mendez Leich
Conway
JCO has said he plans to play 4 in the back away from home and with the injuries and suspensions in hand I think this is the most likely lineup. Renya will look to get up the field more but, in this game look for the red bulls to play a much more counter attacking style of soccer.

As a Hoops fan I am happy but as a Soccer Fan I hate not getting to see a teams best.

I think Osorio needs to put this lineup out:
--------Oscar----Altidore------
------------Magee--------------
DVB---------------------Sassano
-------Stammler--Reyna---------
Goldthwaite--Mendes------Leitch
------------Conway-------------
JCO likes Reyna in the AM spot, but due to injuries and Ubi/Borman struggles you gotta keep DVB on the wing and keep Ubi as a sub. Especially with Dallas' offense and Parke out, I bet JCO puts Reyna back at DM w/Stammler and leave Magee behind the forwards. That's the strongest lineup I see with who is available.

We are running out of oppurtunities to see Jozy/Angel with all of Jozy's impending commitmants. Man that sucks.

My guess:
Altidore Echeverry
DVB Reyna Magee Sassano
Goldthwaite Stammler Mendes Leitch
Conway

Should be Magee playing in behind the strikers, so a 4-3-1-2 rather than a straight 4-4-2. I'd be surprised if we saw Ubi start again after being taken off at HT last week.

Angel hurt?
Ironic how a coach who is supposedly such an expert on strength and conditioning keeps having players pull up lame.

@martha c
Go away troll.

Lol I'm with you Matt, we've had less injuries to this point than in the past from things like pulls and strains, can't control something like Freeman hurt away from the team or Richards cuz of a bad tackle by another team.

No reasoning with old Martha. I think Osorio poisoned her dog or something.

I heard an interview with Dallas keeper Dario Sala. He said he was excited to face Juan Pablo Angel since they were teammates at River Plate in Argentina. It would have marked the first time the two played against each other. Pretty disappointing but here's to a speedy recovery for Angel.
