Italian Wednesday

Zlatan_ibrahimovic_ap

Good morning folks. If you're an Italian soccer fan then you have some nice mid-week treats today.

GolTV is showing a pair of Coppa Italia matches today. Inter Milan and Juventus meet at 3pm, while Sampdoria and Roma open the proceedings at 12:30pm. If you are at work and don't have access to your TIVO, you can also catch these matches on ESPN360.com.

Fox Soccer Channel won't be left out. FSC is showing AC Milan-Atalanta at 2:30pm.

Enjoy the action.

I am recovering from surgery and have had trouble sleeping. These games should do the trick! Thanks.

I see I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy the Italian league. Love the English, German, and Spanish ones, but I just find myself bored during Italian games.

As an add-on, just wanted to say that they are great players, its just the style that I don't enjoy.

If you want English football, Everton vs. Chelsea is on at 3:00 EST on Setanta in the Carling Cup semifinal 2nd leg to determine who plays Spurs at Wembley in the final.

c'mon ives! what's going on with EJ's work permit hearing?? that's the news everyone wants to know about!!

Funny. All these Serie A haters and EPL lovers...but in the end, which country is the World Cup champs? All the offense of the EPL did not even get England out to the quarters. I guess in the end - boring plays wins you world championship and exciting plays gets you a front seat to watch other countries win the big one.
If you think Serie A is boring, maybe you should be watching Inter Milan, Juve and AC Milan with their now offensive line ups. And by the way, it's not as slow as you think it is anymore.

Yeah at this point it's 6:00 PM in England. Did EJ get his work permit or not? In the meantime Fulham have put in bids for every bargain player they could find. Including 2 more strikers? I'll assume that King is not coming which is a setback. I'm also starting to think that McBride is either not recvovering as fast as Fulham would like or on his way to the MLS this summer. I think EJ will do well (4 goals for the rest of the season)once he gets settled.

Italian soccer is great and very under appreciated. Probably because everyone wants to ram the BPL down our throats. How can anyone pass up an Inter-Juve game in any competition?

Keep up the great work Ives.

Good luck to Eddie. Hopefully he can learn and grow as a player over there.

Nick I don't mind watching Siera Mist teams in the champions league. My biggest problem with the Italian based teams is the black cloud of corruption that still hangs over from years past for many of these teams.

Fortunatly I work nights this week.

This Inter-Juventus game has been really entertaining thus far (35 mins in). Even with Buffon, Nedved, and Salihamidzic missing, Juve is pushing up and going at the goal. Thanks to EPSN360, I can watch the game live! GREAT STUFF!

HOLY CRAP! What an absolutely insane finish to the Inter-Juventus game!!! That was an awesome match, even with some of the stars not playing...
