Red Bulls demolish Toronto FC
After a miserable May and June that included just one win, the New York Red Bulls showed what they can do with a nearly full-strength side.
The Red Bulls overcame a promising start from Toronto FC before finding a good attacking rhythm and dismantling the visitors from Canada in a 5-0 dismantling on Wednesday night.
Thierry Henry and Luke Rodgers each scored in their return to the lineup, while Joel Lindpere continued his hot play with the third goal of the match and assists on both of Juan Agudelo’s match-concluding goals.

Red Bulls edge out FC New York to advance in U.S. Open Cup
FC New York gave the New York Red Bulls a scare going up 1-0 in the second half, but the Red Bulls were up to task scoring two quick goals to advance to the in the US Open Cup.
After being largely invisble in the first half, Corey Hertzog and John Rooney both responded with second half goals to secure a spot in the Quarterfinals against the Chicago Fire.

Red Bulls tie Rapids after first-half goal blitz
It was a six minute highlight show as Colorado and New York went blow for blow, scoring four goals in rapid succession. The blitz started with a Larentowicz penalty and concluded with a Luke Rodgers class finish. Those six minutes ended the scoring in the match as Colorado and New York ended in a 2-2 tie.
Luke Rodgers capped off the first-half wild west shootout with a flick just over the reach of Rapids’ keeper Matt Pickens. Roy Miller chipped a ball at the corner of the penalty area and Rodgers outran Marvell Wynne to get the touch in front of the oncoming Pickens.

Henry ends drought, Rodgers bags brace to lead Red Bulls past Earthquakes
Luke Rodgers scored twice, breaking the New York Red Bulls’ 135-minute scoreless streak to power New York past the San Jose Earthquakes, 3-0, in the pouring rain at Red Bull Arena.
Thierry Henry finally got on the scoresheet to break his scoring drought. Henry had a few chances off the foot of Rodgers, but he couldn’t convert until the 87th minute. Rodgers sent a curling cross from the right corner of the box to find a streaking Henry. The Designated Player buried the header in the right corner of the goal for Red Bulls’ final goal.
