Three months after Real Madrid were crowned 2013-14 champions, Tuesday marks the long-awaited return of the UEFA Champions League.

The tournament’s play-off round is highlighted by Premier League side Arsenal, who travel to Turkey to take on Besiktas. The Gunners enter on the heels of a last-minute victory over Crystal Palace and will now be looking to knock off a Besiktas side that added former Chelsea striker Demba Ba during the transfer window.

Another intriguing match will take place in Spain, as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will battle it out in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. The clash is a rematch of the 2013-14 Champions League final, which Real Madrid won, so there should be plenty of intensity in it despite coming so early in the season.

In other action, the CONCACAF Champions League resumes. MLS sides Sporting KC and Portland Timbers highlight Tuesday night’s action, with each team going on the road to try and pick up three points.

W T F man, few years ago CCL was on FSC and Galavision/Telefutura, but now gotta pay $15 to watch it in SD? Know any another major sport still being broadcasted in SD in 2014???

Man that is depressing. I hope you didn’t actually pay, although I’d say you were a complete badass if you did. True junkie style.

Has anyone noticed how Olivier Giroud, in profile, kinda looks like Kramer on Seinfeld?
