Provisional rosters released for Copa Centroamericana

The Central American Football Union has released provisional rosters for the seven nations taking part in this year’s Copa Centroamericana – which will be held in the United States for the first time ever – and it looks like there’s going to be plenty of familiar faces from this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

Costa Rica is arguably the most noteworthy squad, as it will return up to 21 players from its run to the World Cup quarterfinal. Ten of the 11 starters that went up against the Netherlands in that match could be summoned but the lone exception is standout goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who moved to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

Honduras brings back eight players from its World Cup roster, including familiar names like defender Maynor Figueroa and former D.C. United star Andy Najar. Wilson Palacios was not listed.

Other players of note include Guatemala’s Carlos Ruiz, Panamanian goalkeeper Jaime Penedo of the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas attacker Blas Perez, also of Panama.

So some but not all European based players.. Almost no LigaMX players

I guess its all case by case since its not a fifa date even tho its the same time as the Asian Cup and the African Cup of Nations
