Arsenal are 90 minutes away from ending their nine-year trophy drought.

After suffering through year after year of cup and league disappointments, Arsenal enter the FA Cup final as favorites to lift the crown against fellow English Premier League side Hull City. It helps Arsenal that they won both meetings in the Premier League this year, and that players such as Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Özil, and Jack Wilshere are back from injury.

Meanwhile in Spain, the title will be decided over 90 minutes at the Camp Nou Stadium as Barcelona hosts Atletico Madrid. Atleti have a three-point lead over Barcelona heading into the match, but if Barcelona win, they’ll win La Liga on goal-difference.

Diego Costa has returned fit to start and Atleti need either a win or a draw to take the title away from Barcelona and Real Madrid for the first time since Valencia won the title in 2004.

Finally, on Sunday evening, the Liga MX Clausura wraps up with the second leg of the final between Pachuca and Club Leon. Pachuca hold a 3-2 lead heading into the final.

Another week with no MLS on NBCSN.

That’s a great Soccer Saturday to me. I’ll definitely be watching Defoe and EJ, to see how they play with WC snub sized chips on their shoulders.

  3. Gary Page says:

Why does Arsenal vs. Hull have to be on the same time as Barcelona vs.l Atletico Madrid? Normally Barcelona plays much later and I’d like to see both games. Tough choice, but I think Barcelona wins my attention. Arsenal shouldn’t be too dearly tested.

I was up late last night and they talked about it on espnfc, apparently the game time and date got moved 4 times in the last 6 days. And the preferred time with fans and media is 9 pm local for their biggest games, which would have been 3 pm EST, yet they moved it up to 6 pm local, and there is still other games in La Liga that will be played later… which will obviously not be watched….. Oh and the head of their soccer fed went on vacation so they won’t be giving out the trophy either since he won’t be there…

So none of it makes any sense

    Aupa Atleti!

  5. Martin Broer says:

I am an avid soccer fan and only can afford the basic TV channels. I am very disappointed that most soccer games are not shown on the basic channels.
