It is a good thing OBA followed it up, because while watching I am about 99% sure the AR and the CR didn’t see it cross the line.
AR was doing his assigned job of watching the offside line and with the power on the ball there is no way either would have seen it.
That being said can we please gt goal line technology.

I like that the guys that assign the to players can watch a replay to determine who gets the goal but it can’t be done to determine if there was even a goal.

Good to see him rounding into form. He should start in Jozy’s position on the point.

    • DanO says:

Yep. He’s scored the majority of his goals in his career as a target forward. No need to have him making late runs into the box or dropping into midfield to help with possession or initiate the attack…

      • Brett says:

I detect your sarcasm, but he’s genuinely not suited to that role at the international level. He does not have the work rate or passing skill. He either needs to share duty in a 4-4-2 or play as a target so he can lay off a pass and then lose his mark on a forward run. That will let him play that drifting role he insists on playing without leaving us light in midfield while he flops over waiting for a foul call.
