If you were wondering whatever happened to outspoken for Chivas USA head coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola, otherwise known as ‘El Chelis’, wonder no more.

Liga MX side Veracruz has hired ‘Chelis’ as the team’s new head coach. Veracruz has started the season in poor fashion, dropping three straight to drop to 17th place in the 18-team Liga MX.

Sanchez Sola has been away from the game since being forced out of Chivas USA early in the 2013 MLS season. He made waves with his outspoken personality, and isn’t likely to change as he returns to Liga MX.

What do you think of this development? See him turning things around at Veracruz? Wish he were still coaching in MLS?

This guy was never given a fair shot in MLS. Hopefully he does well.
