You can’t make me watch thissssss.

  2. Darwin says:

    Must-See Dive:

  3. AcidBurn says:

Somebody send the tape to Klinsy, here is someone else from CONCACAF playing at the “highest level”.

Sarcasm aside, nice cut and bender though.

    • Gerard D. says:

But really though, this kid–antics and character aside–is the exact type of player Klinsmann has talked about.

Took a chance, went to Arsenal. Has played on loan at Lorient, Real Betis, and now broke into the starting lineup at Olympiakos.

Watch the confidence he plays with. Every time he touched the ball he was at the defender, pushing the ball up field, taking players on with an arrogance you want in your players.

      • Dman says:

Diver scum thats all he is

        • DCGooner says:

I’m a big time Arsenal fan and can’t stand the sight of this guy. Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to cheer for him next year as I think he’ll be part of the squad.

  4. Steven C says:

I’m surprised that kicking the ball that hard doesn’t break his precious foot.

  5. iggy says:

Keeper should have saved it from that distance, not all that impressed.

  6. BAJ says:

Joel Cambell’s whore mother should have smothered him at birth. Diving c***.

    • Maykol says:

Oh god shut up. I dont hear you calling for some sort of punishment for all the dives dempsey, altidore, amd jones have done in the past. Stop being so butthurt

      • John says:

I agree the dive ended up not mattering as the US beat Mexico with ease and finished on top of the Hex. I still don’t understand what Campbell thought he was giving out of the dive, perhaps just wasting time.

      • Dman says:

Capmbells dive was the ultimate disgraceful act. it was not part of a play, or the result of contact. It doesn’t just hurt US fans, it hurts the sport. Campbell is a first class Jacka$$ in my book.

        • What? says:

          another

        • Bori says:

A dive is a dive and this one is not different than the ones Clint Dempsey takes every game.
Obviously at only 21 not only is Campbell better player than Dempsey he’s also a better diver. Something Clint has been working on for over a decade.

          • John says:

Players all over the field, no where near the action should just start falling down rolling around. Then sit up to see if the ref is looking then go back to rolling around. Campbell has revolutionized the art of diving. A true innovator of the game.

          • Ryan says:

IF Joel Campbell manages to hit 50 goals in the BPL, this comment won’t sound ridiculous.

      • What? says:

Embellishing is one thing and what Campbell did is completely an other. By the way Cameron or Chandler, if healthy, is going to school your boy Ronaldo.

      • Rob Jones says:

I agree some people here are so salty.

    • Rob Jones says:

You’re an embarrassment to USMNT supporters.

  7. Eric says:

This changes nothing, Joel. You still rank up there with Ruiz, Marquez, and Frings as cartoon villains for any self-respecting USMNT fan.

  8. Caracas Ali says:

Sweet goal. The sky is the limit for this kid

  9. danny says:

Wow! Hate to see it, but this kid is going to be a big star! Wish we had a player like this.

  10. Four Cents says:

It was a good shot by Campbell, but I’m more impressed with the way he put himself in a situation to take the shot. Here’s another crazy goal that I didn’t see posted on SBI- if anyone’s interested.. link to blog.foxsoccer.com

  11. Rob Jones says:

Nice goal, he might end up having a solid career in Europe. And some people here need to get a grip.
