Must-See Goal: Diego Costa

Diego Costa just can not stop scoring.

With his Atletico Madrid side already holding a 4-0 lead in the 69th minute, Costa found himself behind a cross from teammate Gabi while in the box. Instead of letting the ball go past him or pass it to a teammate outside the box, Costa instead attempted the audacious overhead kick, which of course went in.

It was the fifth goal of the game in a 7-0 victory over Getafe and the Brazilian-born Spanish international’s 14th goal in 14 La Liga matches.

Here’s a video of the goal:

Wow. That would be a pure goal scorer folks

I would’ve called a foul. Costa’s outstretched arms, pushing his defender, impeding his defender’s ability to establish a defensive position. Looks a clear foul to me.

Goalie’s like, “I’m not even mad.”

  4. Dan says:

Also, that “push-off” is not remotely close to warranting a foul call.

Now that is a Must. See. Goal. Hell, that is Must. See. TV.
