Many teams in the latest SBI College Soccer Top 25 play one game this weekend, which could lead to more turbulence among the top 25. Top-ranked California will look to provide some stability at the top of the charts, as the Golden Bears host a couple of East Coast programs to begin a stretch of five consecutive home matches.

Elon entered the rankings Friday at No. 23 behind a 5-0-1 record. The Phoenix fly into Friday night’s 7:30 kickoff against the Tribe of William & Mary on the wings of a five-game win streak, including a 1-0 victory at home against then-No. 15 Wake Forest.

Michigan State, at No. 25, is idle this weekend. The Spartans travel to Omaha, Neb., for their next match, a 7pm kickoff against No. 4 Creighton.

The Maryland Terrapins, No. 1 in the SBI Preseason Top 40, visit Clemson on Saturday night for an ACC contest against the 16th-ranked Tigers.
