Liga MX Round 6: A Look Ahead

Club America are one of five clubs still unbeaten after five rounds in the Liga MX Apertura campaign, but with only three matches played this season it might not be the most impressive feat.

Regardless, the Eagles will take on their toughest challenge yet when they visit Pachuca for a prime-time match on Saturday. Los Tuzos were one of the busiest teams in this summer’s transfer window and have strengthened their squad with the likes of Walter Ayovi, Jorge Estrada, and Duvier Riascos. Club America’s defense, lead by Francisco “Maza” Rodriguez, will certainly have their hands full.

Also in action in the sixth match day of the season, Tigres UANL will try to use their Clasico Regio win as a springboard to success when they visit a tough Santos Laguna side, while Club Tijuana visits the struggling Monterrey. On Sunday, Chivas host Puebla in a match between the 13th and 14th-placed teams in the table.
