Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

The Under-20 World Cup quarterfinals will get your Saturday morning kicked off right, with a healthy dose of MLS action to follow in the evening.

France will square-off with Uzbekistan to get the U20 World Cup quarterfinals underway, with Uruguay vs. Spain immediately following, in the marquee matchup of the weekend.

Neither France nor Uzbekistan have lit the tournament on fire thus far, with both squads earning only four points in the group stage of the tournament. The winner will progress on only their second victory of the tournament, a stark contrast to the Spanish side who mowed through the group stages, winning all three of their matches.

An entertaining spectacle will follow later in the day, when Messi and friends face the World All-Stars in a charity match televised live on ESPN.

If you will be watching today’s action, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

Holy cow… Thats some crazy stuff.

    • Mig says:

Player tries to punch ref, ref mortally stabs player, player’s family attack ref and “tied up the referee, beat him, stoned him, lynched him, and then quartered him. When they finished, they cut off his head and placed it on a stake in the center of the field.”

      Wow. Just….wow.

  5. sly says:

Suso Oliver and delufeu are incredible players already. Bernat isn’t impacting the game as much as I’d expect. Some talent pool Spain has.

  6. Coco says:

only MLS game on TV a saturday starts at 11pm. I guess they’ve totally given up in trying to get soccer fans watch the league on TV.
