By IVES GALARCEP

With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, summer is fast approaching and it is time to start talking about the U.S. Men’s National Team and their busy summer ahead.

Episode 36 of The SBI Show features a closer look at the USMNT, as co-host Garrett Cleverly and I preview Wednesday night’s match against Belgium, and look at the team we are likely to see Jurgen Klinsmann trot out against the Belgians. We also discuss DaMarcus Beasley, who is poised to make his 100th appearance for the national team.

We also catch up on a busy week in MLS, from the announcement of New York City FC as the 20th MLS franchise to the the big blockbuster trade sending Mike Magee to Chicago for Robbie Rogers.

Give the show a listen after the jump:

What do you of this episode? Hoping Beasley has a starting role in the upcoming USMNT matches? What do you think about NYCFC as the 20th MLS team? Agree with our take on the Magee-Rogers trade?

  1. Old School says:

Sounds like JK confirmed we’re going to see a Jones/Kljestan pairing in the midfield against Belgium.

  2. Riggity says:

A little disappointed your opening song wasn’t “Cleveland Rocks” by Bone Thugs but otherwise great job fellas.

On another note I am so sick and tired of hearing Shea is injured.

  3. bryan says:

    u-20s getting worked today.

  4. Leo says:

I enjoyed the BS banter…where’s my award?!

  5. Jon says:

    I, too, want my reward.

I would suggest trying to keep these down to an hour.
