A battle of Eastern Conference rivals and a budding feud between Western Conference foes make today’s light schedule of MLS matches an intriguing one.

D.C. United will look to snap their recent struggles with a home win at RFK Stadium against the Philadelphia Union (5pm, ESPN2). Meanwhile, out West, the San Jose Earthquakes will look to exact some revenge against the Portland Timbers in a rematch of a clash won by the Timbers just a week ago (11pm, UniMas).

SBI will be providing live commentary on today’s matches so please feel free to join us for both matches. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
