With Graham Zusi and Matt Besler back from international duty, and Benny Feilhaber playing his best game of the young season, Sporting Kansas City showed the league just how good they can be.

In front of a sellout crowd at Sporting Park, Sporting KC defeated the previously unbeaten Montreal Impact 2-0, making them the easy pick for SBI MLS Team of the Week.

More importantly for Sporting KC, the victory came with the team’s third successive clean sheet. For Montreal it was their first defeat of the season after a strong opening month.

Sporting KC beat out the Houston Dynamo, Chivas USA, and Real Salt Lake for this week’s honors.

What did you think of Sporting KC’s performance in Week Five? Which MLS team impressed you the most last weekend?

I am a SKC fan and was there in person. Honestly I feel this was their best performance of the year. I saw more heart and drive in first five mins then whole game vs Chicago.

City did look great against Montreal, team of the week for sure. Dallas, City, Chivas, and Houston are all hot right now.
