Andy Najar has become the latest MLS player to land a training stint overseas.

D.C. United announced Friday that Najar is currently training with Belgian club RSC Anderlecht through the end of 2012. Najar had recently been rumored to be joining the club for a training stint, but United had not addressed them until now.

“This is a good opportunity for Andy to continue training in the offseason and get another European training experience,” said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper in a statement released by the club.

There were no details as to when Najar began the training stint.

What do you think of Najar training with Anderlecht? Would you have preferred to see him train in a different league?

Any place in Europe is better than MLS, even if it’s the Vatican City Pro League, or Lichtenstein Premiership.

Belgian league is better than MLS; better league, better management, better training, coaching, should I go on. So the belief that a league that started less than 20 years ago is better than the Jupiler League is laughable.

Anderlecht develops and molds so many players Jan koller, kompany, mbokani, radzinski, biglia, matias suarez.Great choice for najar to learn. So many clubs buy from rsca.

Belgium is totally legit as a league and quite a good stepping stone. Like Austria.
