On a choppy pitch, thanks to the rain throughout the match at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dynamo extended their unbeaten streak at home to 23 consecutive games. Ricardo Clark scored his first goal for the Dynamo since making his return to the club this year, as he knocked in the game-winner in the second half to help lead the Dynamo to a crucial 2-0 win over the New England Revolution.

Clark, who returned to Houston in August after leaving the club at the end of the 2009 season to play overseas, scored what proved to be the difference after both clubs struggled on the pitch due to the weather. It took until the 78th minute, but it was enough to lead Houston to a win that keeps them ahead of the Columbus Crew for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

New England proved to have the better opportunities of the two teams during the first half, as Benny Feilhaber led the charge for the visiting Revolution. Feilhaber nearly curled in two separate free kicks, but was denied by Dynamo keeper Tally Hall each time.

From there, Houston took charge, including Clark's goal. They iced the game during stoppage time with a Boniek Garcia goal during the closing minutes of the match.

The loss continues the Revolution's struggles over the last three months of the season, as they have just one win in their last fourteen matches. They will look to put and end to that run, as they travel to PPL Park to take on the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

At 49 points, the Dynamo remain one point ahead of Columbus for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They will look to extend their home unbeaten streak to 24 as they play host to the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.

Excellent build-up by Warren Creavalle and a quality goal by Boniek Garcia. Every playoff-position team in the east won last night (DC tied) and Houston absolutely needed to get three points from that game.

Ching was huge. Changed the game once he came on.

Ching had a hand in almost all of the highlights
