damn.so sad that the only MLS match on today is at 11pm at night.

cmon MLS! its the weekend. Put the game of the week on during the day time when sports fans are actually in front of their TV’s

  2. Shark says:

So LA vs Portland is a game of the week? Really? It seems NBC and ESPN have become the Galaxy/Red Bull Networks….heck RSL and San Jose who are the best two teams in the league and they pass on that match tonight? If you want to sell the game on national TV showing the same two teams just about every week is not the way to do it…especially when neither are great shakes this season…yeah I know the DP star power…but you can only push that so far…

    Glad I have Direct Kick…

  3. Shark says:

Not the only match on…and as for Game of the Week….Portland and LA is not that…no where near it…

Too hot in most areas to play day game in July….

  4. NE Matt says:

Josh Gatt scored again today :)

Charlie Davies was a “Dressed but DNP”

  5. Louis Z says:

Glad for Gatt, the kid is making his move to one day be called.

  6. NATO says:

Gatt will be on the roster for the WC. He needs to stay in Norway for another year though, before moving to Holland or England.

  7. Halford says:

    shark

it’s the only game on TV other than MLS direct kick isn’t it????

    *smashes head on to desk*

  8. Shark says:

Nice dodge…that is not what you said…

    Here is what you said:

damn.so sad that the only MLS match on today is at 11pm at night.

  9. Esteban de la Sexface says:

@NATO – why not Germany, Spain, Italy or France? I’d like to see more diversity of leagues in which Americans play.

  10. CplDaniel says:

But not between 6pm-9pm CST because that is when we all meet up at the park to play pick-up soccer til the sun goes down.

  11. Esteban de la Sexface says:

fwiw, the officiating in the philly/montreal game was horrendous

  12. Esteban de la Sexface says:

woof, what a beut by beckham

  13. Mike says:

  15. Mike says:

    The Galaxy are back….

  16. John F says:

4 goals in about six minutes from Beckham, Donovan and Keane. Gals getting serious bang for their DP bucks tonight.

  17. NE Matt says:

Where is that kid who said this was a BS game of the week? LA playing amazing!

  18. beachbum says:

    incredible 30 minutes of action!!!

  19. MemRook says:

Ok ive been a galaxy fan a long time, and this definitely hasn’t been a season to remember so far, and I’ve seen many many times when LA has found ways to screw up a lead even this big. C’mon Gals, please oh please don’t F this up

  20. MemRook says:

    Oh damn………

  21. MemRook says:

Did I friggin speak too soon??

  22. MemRook says:

Well at least LA games this season have been hella entertaining for the most part. You never know what you’re gomna get lol

  23. SLR says:

Two games at SJ for RSL, and two really soft red cards that essentially give the game to SJ.

  24. kevin g says:

Nobody cares about salt lake. regardless of how good they might be.
    sorry…..just the way it is.

  25. Mike says:

lol Becks is a serious rockstar. chicks begging for pics as he stands there getting ready for the throw in lmao

  26. because I said so says:

San Jose has Wondo and they make for a good show but RSL is boring as f*** and only die hards from small town american want to see that nobody-azzzz team on TV. LOL

  27. beachbum says:

say what you want about Beckham, but his two goals tonight were World Class, as was that razor at Stanford.

Pirlo did it in the Euros in that whole tournament once.

Beckham is a treat, and if you don’t check him out while he’s here, it’s on you for missing it

  28. dallastexan says:

    no stars
    no tv

    sorry playboy

  29. beachbum says:

    great response by the Galaxy

Marcelo really impressed and looks to have made the transition to this league and is freely expressing himself hard

Landon had many beautiful touches in all kinds of spots, an djust the general aggression of the team’s overall response to the early goal has been electric

  30. Mike says:

    Wondo is on FIRE!!!!

    LOVING this Galaxy/Timbers game!!!

  31. A says:

Wondo is insane. This is ridiculous. Dude is balling outrageous.

  32. Halford says:

no dodge idiot. MLS direct kick is pay per view.

i was talking about games on for a national audience.

  33. beachbum says:

Franklin’s best game of the season for sure, another run from Keane on target

    goal

  34. pogo says:

You would think SJ wouldn’t need the help…

  35. Mike says:

This game is crazy!!!!!!! lol I wish every average sports fan in America was watching this right now. what an advertisement this is for MLS!!!

  36. beachbum says:

I’m obviously a Galaxy fan…but this 5-3 game in Portland is just freakin AWESOME!!!

    in America baby!

    M L S

    YES

  37. beachbum says:

perhaps the best MLS game I’ve ever seen

5 minutes to go. like the old AFL!!!

  38. Big Chil says:

Rapids dominate, but lose agaim *sigh*. Watch out MLS.

  39. beachbum says:

what an awesome atmosphere for a soccer game

    cheers Portland!!!

  40. because i said so says:

    you’re probably from utah

  41. Shark says:

Nice classy response…yeah I know what it is…I actually have it (Direct Kick)…so I don’t need it explained to me…your real class…and once again thats not what you said…like it or not….but instead of just admiting you made a mistake you have to go all internet tough guy…

Your the kind of guy that makes following soccer a real drag…once again your all class…

  42. Shark says:

And that is the problem with MLS…two team league with stars and the heck with all the rest…problem is those teams are not so not this season…

  43. beachbum says:

if only man! what a great advertisement it was
