Must-See Goals: Euro 2012’s best so far

Euro 2012 has been filled with high drama, memorable results, breakout players and clutch performances, making for one of the more intense group stages in recent memory. Not one team has clinched a place in the knockout stage just yet, and each group will be two-thirds of the way through the opening stage following Friday's England-Sweden and Ukraine-France matches.

All of that sets the stage for what should be a wild conclusion to the group stage starting with Saturday's Group A finales. Before looking ahead, though, there is plenty to look back on from the past week of action.

In case you haven't been able to keep up with all of the Euro 2012 happenings, here's a look at some of the best, most-memorable goals the tournament has had to offer thus far. Enjoy:

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI vs. GREECE

JAKUB BLASZCZYKOWSKI vs. RUSSIA

SYLVESTRE VARELA vs. DENMARK

ROMAN PAVLYUCHENKO vs. CZECH REPUBLIC

CESC FABREGAS vs. IRELAND

ANDREA PIRLO vs. CROATIA

MARIO GOMEZ vs. NETHERLANDS

MICHAEL KROHN-DEHLI vs. NETHERLANDS

ROBIN VAN PERSIE vs. GERMANY

ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO'S DOUBLE vs. SWEDEN

awesome clips. Thanks for posting. One issue though: the schevchenko video absolultey sucks. It shows a lot hugging and kids screaming, but you don’t see the goals (but you sort of see the before and after parts for the goal)

  2. elgringorico says:

For me it’s a tie between BLASZCZYKOWSKI and PAVLYUCHENKO. Also, I thought the 1st Gomez goal was better.

  3. Skeeter says:

The Shevchenko ballad number at the bottom is superb

  4. Aquaman says:

It may just be my personal bias, but I thought that the Nasri goal was one hell of a blast.

  5. Adam says:

I agree on the Gomez goal. Him continuing the run to get open for Schweinsteiger is nice on the second, but his turn and finish on the first one was better.

  6. Josh says:

Agreed. Youtube melodrama at its worst.

  7. Marcus says:

Is this a list of Euro 2012’s best so far, or just a list of every goal in the tournament??? (haha)

Quite a lot of goals that would be considered standard if not for the big stage they were scored on…

  8. Wm. says:

Lewandowski is a monster player. That is all. Carry on.

  9. Alex says:

Dzagoev’s 2nd vs the Czechs was a pretty nice goal too. I mean Cech should’ve stopped it, but the same could be said of Gomez’s 2nd vs Holland.

  10. David says:

This video should have waited until Welbeck’s goal today!
