Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had been coy in recent days when discussing a potential return to Arsenal by legendary striker Thierry Henry, but on Friday Wenger acknowledged that a two-month loan move is in the works and needs only some paperwork to be finalized.
"Normally it should happen," Wenger said in his Friday press conference ahead of Arsenal's match against Queens Park Rangers. "You have to respect that there is paperwork to do and the agreement with the Red Bulls and the MLS, but for two months it is certain that it will happen.
"The agreement and the insurance (still needs to be done), I don’t take care of that, but that is not completed and we need to respect all the agreements we need with the MLS to finalise the deal."
Wenger revealed that the loan move was his idea, an idea that emerged after Henry asked to train with Arsenal to stay sharp during the MLS off-season.
Henry has been working hard on his fitness to be ready to play for Arsenal once the new year begins, but Wenger stated Henry is still two weeks away from full fitness. As it stands, Henry is projected to be available for his Arsenal return when the Gunners face Leeds United in the FA Cup on Jan. 9th.

The return of TiTi Henry!!!! This guy is the stuff of legends… the man, the myth, the legend… returning ti “highbury”TiTi Henry Le Roi!
Wow, big news, is Beckham next? The Red Bulls Front Office and MLS will be cringing watching each match, hoping he doesn’t get injured. I can’t wait to see how he looks against Premier League defenses.
Worst kept secret ever
please return him in one piece.
Can we at least get some youth or reserve players on loan in return?
Dear TiTi:
Jesus Christ, don’t get hurt!

Wenger is also rumored to be courting Tony Seaman out of retirement to mind the net. Fear the Ponytail!
Yeah, you can have Chamahk!
You know its a bad off season for RBNY when the biggest story is that the team’s best player has significantly increased his injury prospects.
Beckham is out of contract as of Sunday. Makes any loans for him unlikely unless he chooses to re-up with Galaxy.
Where is the proof of that?
Lots of players go on loans without ever being hurt. Henry is just as likely to get hurt in training. If the odds favored injury, no sane club would ever loan out any player to anyone.
The fact that Beckham got hurt during his loan is unrelated to Henry.
Lol . I’m sure Henry gave soler an offer he couldn’t refuse
David Seaman.
imagine playing for the club that has just recently erected a statue of you?
he got the important part right! probably confused with tony adams.
DISASTER
You can’t go home again . . . why tarnish a legacy? He looks like someones dad with a bad back at times . . . He lacks the pace needed to operate in the premier league these days
I know you! you are the most knowledgeable expert on soccer! how are you?

Your statue would be more useful, especially on set pieces
the statue…
Yea, I read about this months ago on Soccer By Mario.
important part = ponytail?
Where’s the proof it isn’t right?
To me this is most like scenario…A 3 year deal to retiire him in LA with an immediate loan to PSG or some contender.
The Premiership is overrated past the Top 5 teams
Will this bring in enough money to sign Del Piero???
Michael Ballack would be another player that could put them over the hump.
I would agree with this put who would Arsenal give. We want to sell Chamahk and Arshavin. Frimpong needs BPL expirence not MLS expirence. (Turf fields, the travle, and he fact Wenger wants to be close to his loanees)
Bad idea for the Red Bulls. Given Thierry’s age and how injury prone he is, this loan can literally ruin the RB’s entire next season. Why risk injury to your best player?
