Chicago Fire coach Frank Klopas alluded to a potential player signing after his team's U.S. Open Cup victory on Tuesday night. A day later, that signing is complete.
The Fire added playmaking midfielder Sebastian Grazzini to its roster, signing the 30-year-old Argentine on Wednesday.
The left-footed Grazzini most recently played for Club Atletico All Boys and has played in his native Argentina since 2008 after various stops in Europe and Venezuela. He scored five goals in 22 matches across the 2010-2011 Argentine Apertura and Clausura seasons for All Boys. Grazzini will join the club upon the opening of the summer transfer window on Friday and be available selection when the Fire host Portland on Saturday.
What do you think of the signing? How do you see Grazzini's arrival changing Chicago's attack?

Looks like a poor mans Mauro Rosales.
and how do you come up with that comparison? rosales is a winger/forward and grazzini is a middle of the park midfielder……oh, that’s right their both argentinian so they have to be the same, just one less as exciting, apparently.
looks more like a replacement for Marco Pappa who will be heading off to Europe very soon.
No both are the same type of player
cool. who do you follow in argentina? de que cuadro sos, chabon?
one would hope we arent opting to replace an early 20′s winger with a 30 yr old… hopefully he solidifies the midfield and we actually possess the ball from time to time
A poor man’s Blanco
He’s a Magic Man!
Worthless signing could have found someone that will play just as well as him here in the states.
Sorry but I don’t give a f**k about argentina but if you think rosales is a forward you have problems
Norosnob
Could have found a better post in any other language…
Rumor is it’s a one year deal, so unlikely he’s seen as a Pappa replacement in my opinion. But maybe I’m not thinking like the FO.
My sources say Papa is not leaving I wouldnt be heartbroken if he left he scores alot but he kills flow of the game by looking to send thirty yard bombs first and pass second
No Pato Margetic was the magic man. he could be like magic man 2.0
Great signing, the 2nd half of the Fire season is gonna shut a lot of you up. Refer to this comment come playoff time.
Really, name one.
Hahahaha good one
They could still use another midfielder after this guy
Plenty of unscouted talent here
i think it is inevitable that Pappa will be going to Europe at some point, whether that is this transfer window or the next.
Grazziani could be seen as a short term stop-gap. he is more of a pass first guy from what i have seen (not a lot), and that should fit in nicely with chicago’s bevy of attacking options. it frees up oduro and nyarko to stay wide and he can hopefully control the offensive part of the game from the middle of the park. unlike marco who could control the game but was always drifting wide.
i like pappa a lot, but if he is gone, then this guy should slide right in front of logan pause and be able to pull some strings hopefully
Considering every one makes the playoffs it wont be that impressive
don majkowski!
Are you kidding? There are only about 10 players stateside who have creativty imagination with the technical ability to make them happe and can make an accurate pass….
If the Fire needed a d mid who can’t make a forward pass but could hack everyone in site and make 500 backpasses to the goalie in a game, that you can find stateside
Wait I didn’t realise it was bad thing that I am tired of seeing 30 year old international players come here never work out and complain about the league.
True but that’s american football and he played for the Packers.
Pato played in Chicago for the Sting….
And the Packers suck!!!!! Go Bears!!!
Everyone makes the playoffs? Wow. You’re the most ill-informed SBI poster which is kinda like being the most racist Nazi.
given the number of clubs he’s played for i suspect these are the only type of contracts he signs
It was a joke buddy. Don’t get your panties in such a bunch.
Sorry can’t be to certain with some people on here
Ahahaha you haven’t even seen this guy play and you say he has the creativity to make perfect passes. Couldn’t have been that good to end up in the venezulean league. People like you who think every argentine and brazilian player are gods make me laugh so hard. I wasn’t talking about established players, here in florida I see plenty of creativity but mls is too lazy to scout players in this country. Please don’t reply to me ever again, everyone of your posts I’ve seen never make any sense.
haha…yet you’re posting here. esta bien no te enojes mi amigo, forrito de toda la vida, tranquilo……
Ever heard of a hyperbole? Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
lol, packers do suck
Haha because its an mls thread puta maricon.
Love this signing for the Rapids; adds a bit of flare to dull club. Good for the league in general, imo.
Fire* not Rapids
I didn’t say this guy has all those qualities but there’s a chance he might where there’s no chance someone who has those skills is available stateside.
Chicago can pay Marcito, they draw well enough. Logan Pause is overrated though
