I was at this game and it was painful to watch. Chicago desperately needs an offensive spark. As much crap as people used to talk about Blanco, I am beginning to think that back to back conference finals trips had a lot more to do with him and Rolfe than any Hamlett influence.

Also, I feel bad for RSL fans. That team looked like a shell of its former self and I can’t imagine how devastating it was to watch Morales get chopped down and pretty much ruin their season. I think the guy that was responsible for that injury should have to sit out the entire year, as well.

While RSL’s offensive problems may be an issue for them, the Fire’s defense has solidified considerably since Klopas took over. I don’t know if his coaching has anything to do with Johnson’s revival – is he nurturing Johnson better psychologically than CDLC? – but the defense as a whole is much more solid.

But I have to say that the games have been pretty boring to watch. 0-0 ain’t gonna make any headlines in the Chicago sports market (or many others), that’s for sure.

Chicago needs a player like Freddy Adu sending killer balls down the flanks for Nyarko and Oduro to run onto.

I think there must be a correlation between MLS’s scoreless draws and the US National Team’s lack of ANY good forwards.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. RSL hasnt been the same since they lost the CCL Final…Missing Morales is huge, but they have a lot of depth in attack. Kreis is overrated…

Blanco was the obvious key…how did you think it was Hamlett or Rolfe? You can’t let guys like him or GBS walk and not replace them.

RSL has a lot of depth at forward that are all out right now with injuries. Saborio, Espindola, Alvarez, and Paulo Jr. are all out with some type of injury. Our other player who has been playing up top was suspended right before the game. When you are going with 2 players who really have never gotten a lot of minutes up top, you are going to struggle.
