” Get to know Chris Seitz ”
Because he may not have a job, in the next few weeks.
= = =
I’m kidding. He always seemed like a good guy and has shown flashes of good potential at times.
Seitz was great at UMD and so I was thrilled when the Union picked him up. I need a little more from him in the way of not making costly mistakes before I can truly say he is the right choice. It seems each game there is at least one mental error or casual mistake and that has really kept the Union from surprising anyone. (Except DC United).
He’s gonna go through his share of mistakes, like Guzan did his first years at Chivas USA. He’s still super young, especially for a GK, and this is his first starting GK job in the pros, so Philly has nothing to worry about.
Hey Chris, look down! There’s a ball trickling through your legs!
Wow!!! Thrice is my favorite band. Good to hear that he likes them too.
My God, he made pro soccer sound pretty darn boring. Crossword puzzles!
Lovin’ all the coverage former UMD standouts are getting on the site, haha. I loved watching Chris play at Maryland (not only because of the nattyship), and was so psyched that he would finally get a starting role on an MLS team when he was traded to Philly.
I hope these early hiccups are due to being out of practice; he was absolutely outstanding at Maryland, and I know he’s got the potential to be masterful. I met him briefly during the college soccer playoffs a few years back when he hadn’t played much out of RSL, and it was clear that he wasn’t too happy with his situation. I’m sure he’s glad to be in a starting role now; things can only go up.
Wait… what? Oh sh….
Future is bright but he needs to shave his head to attain elite status.
USMNT keepers cannot play with hair on their heads.
