Joseph takes indefinite leave from Revs

New England Revolution midfielder Shalrie Joseph has left the club, taking an indefinite leave of absence to attend to personal matters.

Joseph left the team on Saturday and has been sidelined for much of the 2010 season with a hip injury. He has played in just one of the team's five matches this season. There is no word as to why he has left the team.

  2. Second City says:

If…..it is sincerely something with his family, I wish him well and hope everything and everyone is okay and in good health.

One does ponder if he’s unhappy with NE Ownership / Management. Maybe there was no hip injury to begin with?

  3. Fred says:

Quick! Dump all your Revs players in MFLS! The Revs are doomed this year!

  4. Vik says:

I really hope this doesn’t stem from mis-management.

  5. MiamiAl says:

    Already dumped em!

(SBI-Dave, we have no problem with recommendations and suggestions. What we do have a problem with is people who come here and post negative and completely misguided comments, such as the ones you’ve posted recently. Those will be removed at our discretion, and people who make a habit of those types of comments will be banned.)

so you think Joseph took an indefinite leave of absence to hang out with these guys abroad? Possible, but unlikely.

  8. Josh D says:

DC will welcome you little Joey if you need a hug!

  9. Haig says:

One of the best midfielders in MLS history, and a Brooklyn boy as well (used to play pickup at Parade Grounds and Nethermeade). I hope everything works out for Shalrie.

    Is he pulling a Chapelle?

  11. David K. says:

Yup you nailed it. He signed a deal with comedy central and will be hosting and starring in hos own skit comedy show!

  12. Eric K says:

Come on! (said like GOB Bluth) Hope it’s nothing serious and he’s back soon. It’s like the Revs have had to fight with one hand tied behind their back for a while, with no Twellman or Reis (though Burpo’s been doing okay). Now it’s both hands tied.

maybe he’s trying better medical treatment in canada. I dont know about you guys, but the dumbell-lifting fitness Singles chick is pretty scary. She must have implants since every girl I’ve ever seen (including ones in the venice beach scene) who were that big, had no breasts at all. She has a nice face, but there’s no comparison between her and the cougar lady.

  14. Martek says:

Wow. Hope all is well him. He’s a beast when healthy and motivated.

  15. Ceez says:

    i agree.

  16. Dlewis says:

Whew tough break on an already struggling revs team.

  17. Tim F. says:

Wow! Hope all gets better soon Shalrie (just after the Red Bulls play New England).
