Come on Villa, Stick it to those Blue Bastards
Question Ives,
Is it too early for a drinking game? Just got off work.
Hello Red Bull fans,
I’d love for you to check out our feature with Midfielder Luke Sassano at link to bit.ly
Sassano spoke a lot about his love for the Red Bull organization as well as his karaoke habit.
morning Ives! Go Villa!
@ECS Spokane Drinking game:
one drink for every minute the game is delayed.
Oh how I love the pre game tunnel shot…
Zhirkov starting?? Did I see that correctly?
Zhirkov on the bench. I need more coffee.
Villa should be winning this game
No Fulham v Hull on TV : (
Nothing that I will make time to watch today.
So I just tuned in to ESPN2 for the second half, where the LA Galaxy have absorbed FC Dallas, and are currently down 2-1 to Aston Villa.
Seriously, though, what’s up with these Chelsea kits?
Fulham v. Hull is on Monday, yo.
Fulham – Hull is on Monday. (On ESPN2, I think)
Good game, so far. When I was woken up at 7:30 by a fire alarm low battery signal, I figured this wasn’t going to be a very good day. Then I clicked on ESPN2, and found the second half just about to start. All has been redeemed.
Beasley didn’t even make the bench; again. January can’t come soon enough for him.
Joe Cole coming on! Well, that’s encouraging.
awesome, I will be getting my fill of soccer action on Monday fosho.
For this weekend, I can’t wait for Saints v Giants Tomorrow for some sports action on TV.
Spector on the bench
Villa takes it. Great game!
morning ives. about to watch arsenal v birmingham city on channelsurfing.net. (check it out they have a host of games on it) birmingham city hasnt given up more than 2 goals at home all year so needless to say they have played quality football especially in the backline. they should have probably of gotten a draw at old trafford and played an inspired match against chelsea where they should have pulled a draw.
prediction: gunners win 2-0! rvp and arshavin hit the old onion bag. VICTORIA CONCORDIA CRESCIT
One for the balloon!!!
wtf?! even balloons are out to get us this year. no stevie g, no torres, no luck
darren bent is siiiick
UP THE VILLA! The new and improved back line at Villa Park is paying HUGE dividends!!!!!!
well im wrong already. 2-0 Gunners in the 18th. RVP and Diaby score. AA didnt start instead Walcott started his frist macth sine his injury. Who knows AA may come off the pine for some action later.
@gogunners
you meant 2-0 in the first 18 min, right?
haha yea sorry ian. little too excited.
What happened with a balloon?
Shot on goal went in and hit a baloon on the way… They would have never saved it anyway as it deflected off a defender
any links to the liverpool match?
http://www.justin.tv
any links to everton?
I cant find one
Anyone else watching Stuttgart-Schalke? It seems they’ve torn down an entire end of the Mercedes Benz Arena. Any ideas why?
Defoe sent off for spurs…
wolves scored…
Everton equalized
Pittman has just equalized for Wycombe after coming on as a substitute.
7 minutes of stoppage time for Liverpool? That’s a bit much….but Sunderland still pulled it off.
Final: 3-1 Arsenal over Birmingham City. Robin Van Persie and Andrey Arshavin bagged one (I called those two) and Abou Diaby added the third. Birmingham City’s goal was scored after a free kick was pushed away by keeper Vito Mannone however he failed to clear the line when Lee Bowyer found the ball at his feet scoring the Birmingham City’s one and only goal.
What the deal? The Ajax game isn’t on ESPN360? Boo!
(SBI-That’s the listing I had, our apologies for that one.)
It seems the Depo/Sevilla game is on instead of the Newcastle/Forest game, which is actually a good thing.
Hey you guys, check it out, Ive been reading that UEFA has been thinking of sending The Old Firm teams, Celtic and Rangers to compete with teams from, Holland, Portugal, Scandinavia, and Belgium……..if this comes through, Edu will have a different level of competition, a better one at that
i saw it on FoxSoccer website, if any1 is interested in reading……

Pittman has just equalized for Wycombe after coming on as a substitute.
The goal makes him Wycombe’s top scorer. Beautiful goal according to radio commentary. I’ll have to watch it when Wycombe put the highlights up on their site. Great 60 yard pass from Bloomfield, Pittman beat 2 defenders and scored.
To Jacob A.
Regarding the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Bad Canstatt, Stuttgart….it’s very cool actually. VfB fans have longed for a proper stadium atmosphere for years. Currently stadium is a multi-sport facility built for track and field as well as soccer. Even the best seats are nowhere near the field. I love the team but atmosphere at games could be so much better. Finally, the club has answered their prayers. How they are going about doing it is the cool part. The plan is to lower the entire field and build new stands down to where the field will be. I can’t wait to see the finished product. Should help the club both on and off the field. I hope this helps.
nice backheel goal for Real Madrid.
Thanks very much PJ. I could tell it was a very big renovation going on, just couldn’t tell why. I too am no fan of fields with tracks, as there’s just something visually better about watching it on tv, much less how much better it makes the in stadium experience/atmosphere.
Aleman with a GOALAZO!!! 2-1 RM
Ha ha at Liverpool losing due the ball deflecting off a “beach ball” tossed on the pitch by their own tosser of a fan. Of course their wanker fans will still figure out a way to blame Liverpool’s American ownership for their downfall.
Montreal going to win the USL championship…if anyone cares or not.
Hey Ives, how about a new feature called “Injury Watch” or something. We have so many injured players right now, and often after the initial injury it’s hard to get updates on them.
By my count, there are 10 injured actual or prospective USMNT players: Adu (?), Castillo (?), Davies, Dempsey, Demerit, Edu, Jones, Marshall (?), Onyewu, Whitbread.
It would be nice to get updates on them all as time passes.
I feel like the SPL would implode without Rangers and Celtic
Im watching Barcelona, and i think that JFT would fit into their style of play, and i think that he could work well in Keita’s spot, with Iniesta and Xavi to his sides…..
Boca not even on the bench for Rennes?
Fred,
Boca received a red card before the international break
Wolves McCarthyon Tim Howard retaliation,
“But their ‘keeper Tim Howard is very fortunate not to be walking off the pitch too. My understanding is that when you raise your hands above neck high and use your hands to push…”
CR, Ruiz scores again with undefeated Twente in Holland. I hope Ticos win vs Uruguay.
wow, its great to see Sochaux beat league leader Lyon in Lyon. According to their website, they dedicated this game to him.
CrispySt3, so you’re thinking a USMNT sub could start for Barca, eh? Let’s get our best player on Barca first.
A red beachball. LOL

“Beasley didn’t even make the bench; again. January can’t come soon enough for him.”
Alex I don’t think January will help much unless he goes lower, like MLS. My memory says Beasley was offered around in the off-season and there were no takers.
as i said January can’t come soon enough. MLS or lower league is the only option I can see.
A, right — thanks Alex.
Im watching Barcelona, and i think that JFT would fit into their style of play, and i think that he could work well in Keita’s spot, with Iniesta and Xavi to his sides…..

Torres has a style of play very comparable to Fabregas, which is why Wenger took a shine to him for a short stint of time. But….Iniesta-Torres-Xavi? Do you want to tell me who’s going to be taking the defensive work that Keita normally carries?
CrispyST3,
I have to admit I like Torres, but you don’t realistically think he could start for Barca do you? Keita is in that team for a reason. Think about the youngsters at that club who are better than Torres. Jonathan, Busquets…I think It would be nice to see Torres play in Spain…honestly kind of wish he had stayed with Mexico, we would be seeing more of him. Bradley doesn’t seem to be his biggest fan. The kid’s got style though. Reminds me of watching Aimar at Valencia.
according to Roy Hodgsen….Dempsey is fit and ready to go on Monday
looking forward to seeing our two probably starters at forward for next summer face each other
Torres not even in the starting XI for Pachuca today and someone wants him to play for Barca? Wow.
Great news as Charlie Davies is Out of Intensive Care Unit
On KCs first goal, Zoltan was clearly offsides.
Brian, it’s most likely because of the travel he had with the national team. I can’t remember too many games he’s missed this season.
Torres has scored one goal in 70 appearances in the substandard mexican league and people here think he should play at Barca…..
Madness,madness I tell you.
Shouldn’t officials stop play whenever a person, or object enters the field that interferes with play?

Get used to it around here. Any average player who can string 2 passes together immediately gets the “He should play for Arsene Wenger!” tag.
Omar, nobody said that he should play for Barcelona or Arsene Wenger. We said that he would fit in with their STYLE OF PLAY.
RM07, what’s madness is the lack of reading comprehension skills shown on this site.
btw, Torres has scored TWO goals in 49 appearances for Pachuca. It’s not even his job to score the goals anyways.
Damn, not a single comment about Serie A, huh? What a performance from Inter, and a great result against a very good team — and that’s without Eto’o or Milito or Motta.
Jeeeez, you guys are terrible, i said his STYLE OF PLAY! not once did i say that he’ll start there, wowww, i no he’s nowhere near the level of skill required to start at Barca, but i felt that JFT has that style of play
