Good afternoon folks. As I sit here downing a caffeinated beverage, I can’t help but think that many of you are like me and struggling to get through the day.
If you love soccer, and I know you do, then the next best thing to caffeine (and plenty of other stimulants) is watching some beautiful soccer. With that in mind, here is a clip of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s memorable goal for Ajax. Whether you have seen it before or not, I’m sure you will still enjoy it:

That was beautiful! He made the whole opposing team look stupid!! hahaha
So that caffeinated beverage? It wouldn’t be a Red Bull would it? hahahaha
His combination of power and skill is really amazing. He pushes right through that first defender and the just jukes through everyone else on the team.
Good God, this clip NEVER gets old. I’m still smiling and laughing out loud in the end. The guy in the first tackle who tries to clear just bounces off of Ibra like a friggin’ fly! Ibra is so tempermental, but aren’t all of the great ones? He is thinking so much ahead of the others on this one. Thank you Ives. I like the (new to me?) feature of afternoon video appeteasers. Now, I have to go watch this one again.
Love the shot of VdV wishing he could do half of the things that Ibra pulls off. Ok, I’ll stop the hating on VdV, but I’ve never really seen what the hype is with that dude. I’m open to others showing me the light, though.
Ugh, marry me you big Swede.
Great goal from a great player. Hey Ives, you got a shout out on Fox Soccer Channel on the Fox Soccer Report last night. You’re big time now, Congrats!
Kenny Cooper, take notes.
“I can’t help but think that many of you are like me and struggling to get through the day.”
Man, that last set of Q&A’s must have been REALLY difficult.
Call me crazy, but aspects of Cooper’s game remind me of Zlatan.
Foot skills for a big guy; power, accuracy, and technique of shots.
BJR–
You’re crazy. Really.
A.S. – he’s OBVIIOUSLY hung over..like me…
Now that’s a hairdo for Arroyave to aspire to:

As I was typing the first post I was debating whether or not to include the following disclaimers. So here goes…
I was not trying to imply that Cooper is Zlatan or that he will become the next Zlatan, but that there is potential in his development based on the similarities.
Unreal. Fantastic. I had not seen that. Thanks,Ives.
These people can be snobby and jump on you for your valid points. But they were just that, valid.
If Cooper fits the “mold” of any great strikers from today, it’s Ibra and his size.
Well said BJR.
I believe John O’Brien was on that team starting at left back when Ronald Koeman was manager
I laughed. I cried. A tour de force!
I knew Zlatan. I served with Zlatan. Cooper, you are no (nor will ever be) Zlatan or Zlatanesque.
Coop is freakey big though.
Me no like Ronald Koeman (see: Beasley, DaMarcus; Albelda, David; Great Players Not In New Coach’s Plans For No Apparent Reason).
I’m not sure I’ve seen that many kick-feints in a row work like that. Not even in a video game.
